I've always been fascinated by American pop culture, and how it has been reflected in architecture. The Refreshment Center got its name because I adored the era of drive-ins, diners, and mom and pop storefronts. The local businesses hit hard by recession, cast aside by 'progress' but seeing a resurgence in many towns like my own. My retirement goal is to take a trip down Historic Route 66 to capture photographic stories of American "then & now".

My camera always has stories to tell, even when words fail me.

I also enjoy vintage books and campy, pulp fiction art. You can find more photographic and literary gifts being created every week on my Zazzle storefront [forgive the mess, but it is still open!]. Every purchase helps keep this blogger, book nerd and photojournalist continue to expand offerings and maybe...just maybe...take that trip down Route 66 one of these days...

My photographs are offered on Kodak Professional Photo Paper (Satin). Developed specifically for darkroom printing, this satin finish is premium silver-halide paper designed to dramatically enhance colors, while maintaining consistent tonal reproduction.

I offer wrapped canvas prints in some custom sizes for large wall spaces. Greeting cards, shopping totes, ceramic tiles and ornaments: there's a little something for everyone! Thank you for your patronage and check back often for new offerings in the gift shop ~ G
